310.001 Authorization of Online and/or Hybrid Degree Programs
The university has established policies about the authorization of new degree programs and curriculum approval which adequately require review and oversight by faculty. Once approved, the university administration makes determinations regarding funding and resources appropriated to the units to implement degrees.
The academic dean, in collaboration with the chairperson/faculty director, and informed by a majority vote of approval by faculty where the degree resides, will determine an academic unit’s readiness to launch hybrid or online programs based on available resources. As long as the curricular offerings have not changed from the traditional degree program, no further approval through college or university curriculum committees or councils shall be required.
