To identify the responsibility of FIU and the Health Care facilities and programs to protect the identify and PHI of patients from the unauthorized disclosure of the identify and PHI of patients to the media, the public, and for teaching purposes unless the appropriate written authorization is first obtained from the patient(s) or his/her Representative.
