Welcome to the University
Policies and Procedures library. In late fall of 2004, the
Operations Committee of the University approved a project
whereby all mission critical policies and procedures of the
University would be placed in one centrally located and easily
accessible website. This project is being headed by the University
Compliance Office, which provides oversight over the University’s institutional
compliance program. This project has been made possible through
the efforts and support of the Policies and Procedures Project
Committee. This Committee’s
membership is made up of representatives appointed by the President,
the Provost and University Vice Presidents. We hope that you
find this library to be a valuable tool to gain greater knowledge
and understanding regarding the University’s standards
and expectations.
Any questions regarding a specific policy should be directed
to the individual listed in the policy under contact information.
Alternatively, further inquiry regarding specific policies
can be addressed to the University
Compliance Office who will
either address it directly, or route the question to the appropriate
University representative, individual, department, or unit.
Lastly, it is important to note that the University Policies
and Procedures library is a not a catalog of new policies and
procedures, but a consolidation of existing University materials.
Beginning immediately, the University Compliance Office will
coordinate with individual departments, so that any reference
to policies and procedures on their websites are changed to
a link to the official library page. With the continued support
of the University community, this process should be completed
in the very near future. Please know that to the extent that
there is a conflict between a college, school, center, institute,
museum or departmental policy and a University policy found
in this library, the provisions of the University policy will
prevail.
